Sinking Radio: Polvo's "Pedlar"

Here's a reminder to point your internet browsers to today from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the Sinking Radio show. They'll once again be broadcasting live from Cole's in downtown Los Angeles.
My pick for this week's show is, "Pedlar," the shortest song off of Polvo's excellent new album, In Prism. I've been a Polvo since the early college days. They've always had a distinct, interesting, immediately recognizable guitar sound that put them in the upper tier of 90s indie rock bands. I spent a ridiculous amount of time listening to Polvo and their contemporaries (Slint and June of 44).
While nothing on In Prism had quite the same impact that "Vibracobra" did the first time I heard it, this is Polvo's most consistent record ever. Very impressive when you consider they haven't releasd an album in 12 years.
