Monday 4/18/11
[Pick of the Night] Walking Sleep / Marvelous Toy / Michael’s House / Sara Radle Band @ The Satellite (Free) – This is the last (free) night of Walking Sleep’s residency (next week they’ll open a sold out show for Airborne Toxic Event). Marvelous Toy is Jordan (keyboard player in Henry Clay People). Michael’s House is an experimental/side project from Avi (from Avi Buffalo). Sara Radle’s in Walking Sleep and has played with the Rentals (amongst others).

[Pick of the Night] Those Darlins @ The Satellite ($12) – Good buzz for these three ladies (and one bro) from Tennessee. Sort of like what you’d get if Best Coast was into country music. If you like girls getting undressed and then dressed again, check out their video on YouTube
[Recommended] Dengue Fever / The Holloys / Jail Weddings @ Troubadour ($15) – Local Cambodian-psych-pop band Dengue Fever just released their fourth studio album. It’s supposed to be their best yet.
[Recommended] The Lonely Wild / Geronimo Getty / Future Dancing / Zenda @ LaBrie’s (Free) – Geronimo Getty is Aaron Kyle from Le Switch playing new songs that don’t fit in with the sound of Le Switch. Chris Harrison from Le Switch will be joining him. They go on at 8:30PM.
