Don't forget: TiVo Alert – Silversun Pickups on Late Night w/ David Letterman
Tonight's Pick:
RZA @ Key Club ($25) – His production work with the Wu-Tang was great. I haven’t been super impressed with his solo records.

Also Appearing:
Tally Hall @ Sea Level 6:00PM (Free) – An acoustic set before their show later that night at the Echo
Tally Hall / Signal Hill Transmission @ the Echo ($10) – Anybody catch them on Morning Becomes Eclectic today? "(Tally Hall) wore their influences on their sleeve, blending vintage Beastie Boys with snarky new wave and Beatles-y psychedelia with uncommon ease...You no doubt will be hearing of these upstarts in the near future. " -Boston Herald
Mark Eitzel and American Music Club / Johnny & The Moon (featuring Dante Decaro of Wolf Parade) @ Spaceland – Johnny & the Moon might be the draw here for the indie kids. They love the folk. It’s a Download Johnny & the Moon’s “Green Rocky Road”
Trail of Dead / Blood Brothers @ the Fonda ($20.50) – If you missed them last night.
Norfolk & Western @ Hotel Café ($10) – More indie folk. Have you noticed that Pitchfork has a weird tendency to review bands the same day they’re playing LA? They did it at least twice last week. They gave this record a 6.6/10 today.
Imogen Heap @ Wiltern ($25) – If you missed her last night.
A John Waters Christmas w/ Jonathan Richman @ Royce Hall ($25-48) – Two of my best friends in the world are huge John Waters fans. I enjoy his tamer films. If you hang out upstairs at Spaceland for more than a half hour you’ll probably hear Jonathan Richman’s “Roadrunner.” He’s playing Safari Sam’s tomorrow night.
The Dickies / Agent Orange @ Knitting Factory ($13) – Two veteran punk bands that I never really got into. The Dickies logo always makes me think of Picasso’s Le Reve.
