[Recommended] Andy Clockwise / Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head / Broken Meters / Hey Champ @ Spaceland (Free) – I heard there was a very healthy crowd last week. NPSH has gotta be up there with dumbest band names…

[Pick of the Night] Club NME: The Veils / Luke Top / Other Girls @ Spaceland ($14) – London’s The Veils have a new record out on Rough Trade. They’re taking a break from their tour with Foreign Born. I haven’t spent a ton of time with it, but like it when it comes on my shuffle. Luke Top is the lead singer of Fool’s Gold, but has a new solo record that’s worth checking out.

Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend appears on the first single. They remixed/covered Vampire Weekend and M.I.A. If you’re into the Afro-pop sounds, check them out.
