[Recommended] Le Switch / Amnion / Frankel / Seasons @ the Echo (Free) – This is the first night of Le Switch’s Monday night residency. You should know by now that I’m a huge fan. Their new record is one of my favorite of the year so far. Aaron Embry’s Amnion is getting a lot of great local buzz. The record’s really good, but I haven’t seen them live yet. Frankel was on my top 10 local list last year.
[Recommended] Mezzanine Owls / Wait.Think.Fast / Minipop / In Waves @ Spaceland (Free) – Free valet parking tonight (they’re filming in the area). This is another really good lineup. Mezzanine Owls have developed into a really good band. This is the first night of their residency. San Francisco’s Minipop is a dream pop band with a devoted following.
[Recommended] Henry Clay People / Rademacher / I Make This Sound / Ride on Rides @ Viper Room (Free w/ RSVP to Viper Room on Myspace) – Kennedy will be DJ’ing and MC’ing between bands. Three more strong bands on this bill. If you’re an indie fan inclined to hanging out on the west side, this is your pick.
