I saw a lot of bands last week, so I'll try to post about that later. This is another fantastic summer week for live music.....

[Recommended] Grand Archives / Sera Cahoone @ the Echo ($12) – Mat Brooke from Grand Archives was on the first (and in my opinion, best) Band of Horses record. GA is more like an upbeat version of the Clientele – sunny, West Coast pop. Sera Cahoone was in Carissa’s Wierd with Brooke and Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses.

For the past couple of months there’s been a weekly kickball game in Glassell Park that I occasionally take part in. This is a show to benefit people who play kick ball (most of these bands also play in the game). Very good lineup.
