Live Music Options 2/25/08 - 3/2/08

Earlimart Play Spaceland's 13th Anniversary Party

Another week and a lot of great shows. Tonight's the last night of the February residencies. There are also some record release parties, Spaceland's 13th Anniversary party and some great touring shows. I'm not that into Diplo, Cat Power or Grizzly Bear, but you might be.
Monday 2/25/08
[Recommended] The Henry Clay People / What Made Milwaukee Famous / Rademacher / Army Navy @ the Echo (Free) – This is a solid lineup. I think I’m finally going to make it out for the last night of the residency. Download Rademacher’s “What Yr Used to” from their live at the Echo CD that will be available for sale tonight.
[Recommended] The Pity Party / Meho Plaza / Rolling Blackouts @ Spaceland (Free) – The last night of the Pity Party residency. Get there for Rolling Blackouts too.
Rickie Lee Jones @ Echoplex ($20-25)
Solare / Exit Music / The Valley Arena (Free)
Casxio / Electrocute @ Viper Room (Free with RSVP to Viper Room)
The Shys / Bigbang @ Silverlake Lounge (Free)
Sarah Silverman @ Largo (Reservations Booked)
Peanut Butter Wolf / Boom Bip / Guns N Bombs @ the Roxy (Free w/ RSVP to BPM Magazine)

Tuesday 2/26/08
[Recommended] The Helio Sequence / The Buildings and Butchers / Hearts of Palm UK @ Spaceland ($12) – Congratulations to our ticket winners.
[Recommended] Jay Farrar / Anders Parker @ Troubadour ($20) – Good alt-country lineup. Jay Farrar was in Uncle Tupelo with Jeff Tweedy and Son Volt. Anders Parker was in Varnaline. Together they made a good record as Gob Iron.
Anna Waronker @ Largo
[Recommended] I See Hawks in LA / Mike Stinson / Psychedelic Cowboys @ the Echo ($7) – Good country lineup.
Missy Higgins / Robert Francis @ El Rey (Sold Out) – Robert Francis had to cut his Silverlake Lounge residency short. He got pneumonia last week and now he’s on tour with Missy Higgins. His songs I’ve heard are good.
Cosio / Correatown @ Bordello ($5) – Correatown’s well worth checking out.
You Me and Iowa / The Natural Disasters @ the Scene
The Binges @ the Roxy
Jeremy Jay @ the Smell
Mondo Generator @ Viper Room
