Live Music Options Monday & Tuesday

The Clean Prophets play the Echo for free tonight.

After going to festivals for two straight weekends I'm a little burnt out. But there's some great stuff going on tonight. By the way, the Sunset Junction didn't do it for me this year. None of the bands were interesting enough to have to pay $15 and endure seeing leather boys in assless chaps getting their asses fondeled by other dudes with children present. I really, really don't need to see that.

Monday 8/28/06
The Clean Prophets / Kind Hearts & Coronets @ the Echo (Free) - If you've already checked out the Spaceland residency this month, then it's time to check out the Echo. The Clean Prophets were Amoeba's hometown pick this month and they've been featured on this site for way longer than that.

The Little Ones @ Spaceland (Free) - The last night of their residency. Worth checking out.

The Popo @ Silverlake Lounge (Free) - They played the F*** Yeah Fest and Spaceland recently. Some friends really dug it.

Jeremy Enigk @ Troubadour ($15) - Don't blame him for all the emo followers. Sunny Day Real Estate had some good songs.

Tuesday 8/29/06
The Minor Canon / Eskimo Hunter @ Spaceland ($8) - The Minor Canon are fresh off an appearance at Sunset Junction.

Rocket @ Safari Sam’s ($5) - Fresh off the Warped tour.
