Tuesday Night Music Options 3/6/07

Albert Hammond Jr. Plays El Rey Tonight

Tonight's Pick:
Albert Hammond Jr. / The Mooney Suzuki @ El Rey ($17.50) – The Strokes guitarist has a new solo record out today. It’s very easy on the ears and quite pleasant to listen to.
Also Recommended:
Mike Stinson / Gwendolyn / Langhorne Slim / Corazon County @ Molly Malone’s ($6) – Great rootsy lineup. Stinson’s my favorite local country-rock performer.
If you wanna party:
Snowden / Expatriate / Dandi Wind @ Cinespace ($5) – For the indie dance crowd.
Lo-Fi-FNK / The Young Knives / Snowden DJ Set @ Safari Sam’s ($8) – For the anglo-oriented indie dance crowd. The Young Knives are a hyped new British band that are playing a few pre-SXSW gigs. You can also see them tomorrow at Spaceland.
For something a little different:
Sam Phillips / Dave Palmer @ Spaceland ($15) Benefit for Rose Scharlin School. For the sophisticated.
Tim and Eric / Neil Hamburger @ the Echo ($15) – Comedy show. While I was working at Sea Level this weekend, about 10 people tried to buy tickets to this show. Unfortunately we didn’t have any to sell.
