Weekend Live Music Options 3/3/07-3/4/07

The Spinto Band Play at the Troubadour on Sunday

Saturday's Pick 3/3/07:
Malajube / Snowden / Twilight Sleep @ the Echo ($12) – Malajube gets props from Pitchfork. They get compared to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Wolf Parade, Animal Collective. I think you’ll have to listen for yourself. Download Snowden’s “Anti-Anti” Tracy from Twilight Sleep has a very interesting voice.
Also Recommended:
Midlake / Ester Drang @ Troubadour (Sold Out) – For the Fleetwood Mac fans. See what I wrote on my Noise Pop preview.
Dublab Presents: Tonallism @ Pehr Space ($5) – For the ambient crowd. DJs Frosty, Jimmy Tamborello (DNTEL, Postal Service, Figurine) [sorry for all the times I misspelled your name in the past] and Hoseh with live performances from Languis
Or maybe you'd prefer:
DJ Quik @ House of Blues ($30) – For the old school hip-hop fans.
Annuals / Aqueduct @ Spaceland ($12) – For the indie rockers. Kids love Annuals. See what I wrote on my Noise Pop preview.

Dandy Warhols @ Wiltern ($25) – You see Dig?
Weird Science (Steve Aoki and Blake Miller) / Har Mar Superstar / Some Girls / Willowz @ El Rey ($14) – For the indie dance scenesters.
Barr / Marnie Stern @ the Smell ($5) – For the DIY punk rock kids and noise rockers.
