LA Bands at CMJ - the Coverage

CMJ Roundup

In a story about music blogs, The New York Times had nice things to say about Division Day.

Spin said highlights of CMJ included Silversun Pickups and Lavender Diamond. Spin also praised the Little Ones and Silversun Pickups at the New York 2 London party. Spin also compared Brian Aubert to Crispin Glover in another article (what about Cobain?). Pitchfork called Lavender Diamond old and told them they need to stand up when they play. NME features the Cold War Kids’ new video. NME calls the Little Ones “amazing” and then goes on to call the Cold War Kids “absolutely bloody brilliant.” Rolling Stone said there’s “nothing little” about the Little Ones and also said Ferraby Lionheart was one of the unknown gems of CMJ. They also gave Cold War Kids’ new album 4 out of 5 stars.

WOW. Even Spin is better than Pitchfork.
