Local Scene Update

TIVO alert: Silversun Pickups will be on David Letterman this Friday night. They also just announced a second show at the Troubadour on 12/17 with Irving and Tigers Can Bite You. The show on 12/16 with Midnight Movies and Twilight Sleep is sold out. Drummer Christopher Guanlao's love of Star Wars is profiled on starwars.com.

You can download some Jon Brion bootlegs over at Fairfax Avenue. These are entire shows, so they're definitely worth checking out if you've never seen him live.

Cold War Kids will also be on David Letterman. Set your TIVO for December 21st. Advance tickets are available for three small shows in January. January 12th and 19th at the Silverlake Lounge and January 26th at Spaceland. Those shows will all sell out, so get tickets if you're interested.

Recent Merge signees, The Broken West have announced that they're doing the Monday night residency at Spaceland in January.

Local favorites, Division Day have announced that they're doing the free Monday night residency at Spaceland in February.

Pitchfork favorites, Jet just announced a show at Spaceland on December 10th. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10AM on Ticketweb.
