Earlimart is one of LA's better bands that I haven't written much about on this site. In the year I've been writing, they haven't been that active (they did recently release a 7" on Suicide Squeeze). I've heard rumours about who would be releasing their next record (one label even seemed to quietly announce their signing) but apparently they're still deciding what to do with it. When you listen to their albums, you hear a clear progression in Aaron Espinoza's talent as a songwriter and artist. Pitchfork is in the process of releasing three new MP3s. Those should whet your appetite for the new record. Aaron Espinoza will be playing a free solo show at the Silverlake Lounge on Monday 10/23. The following week the band is heading to New York for the CMJ festival.
