Saturday 11/3/07:

Tivo Alert: Feist on SNL; Wilco on Austin City Limits

[RECOMMENDED] Yo La Tengo @ Ivar Theatre ($26) – See Friday’s post. There’s an early show (7:30 PM) and a late show (10:30 PM)

HEALTH / Abe Vigoda / Meneguar @ the Smell ($5) – HEALTH seemed to be one of the breakout bands of the CMJ festival. They’re noisy man.

Xu Xu Fang / Lion Fever @ Spaceland ($8) – Xu Xu Fang play the dark, psych music. Scott at Surfing on Steam is a big fan.

[RECOMMENDED] Jon Brion @ Largo (Good Luck Getting In)

Minus the Bear / Helio Sequence @ Avalon ($18) – I think The Helio Sequence are trying to compete with Autolux to see who can wait the longest between records.
Download Minus the Bear’s “Throwin’ Shapes” and “Dr. L’ing
Download The Helio Sequence’s “Blood Bleeds” and “Everyone Knows Everyone

Enon / Love of Diagrams @ the Echo ($12) – Solid indie rock show.
Download Love of Diagrams’ “The Pyramid

Sunday 11/4/07 :

[Early Pick] Le Switch / Mark Fosson / Anders & Woods @ the Echo ($7) – This is an early show at 6:00PM. Aaron from the Switch and Mark Fosson and Tiffany Anders are all cousins. Last year, Drag City released some unreleased Mark Fosson material that he recorded for John Fahey’s label. If you’re a Fahey fan, you should take note. Also featuring DJs Ted & Todd.

[Late Pick] Rademacher / Light FM @ Spaceland (Free) – Rademacher’s celebrating the release of their new album all month long. They’re releasing two songs from it each Friday on four different local blogs (including this one next week). The first two tracks are up on Radio Free Silver Lake today. Guess what, the record’s good too.
