Ween Play the Wiltern Tonight

A little something for everybody tonight....
Thursday 11/8/07

In-Store Alert: Gram Parsons Record Release Party @ Amoeba 7:00 PM – Amoeba’s label just released a 2-disc Gram Parsons with the Flying Burrito Brothers live album. Mike Stinson, Dave Gleason, Sin City All-Stars, Chris Etheridge will be performing.

Great Northern / Robbers on High Street @ Echoplex ($12) – Congratulations to our prize package winner. Great Northern has gotten great support from the local alt radio stations.
Download RoHS “Crown Victoria

Ween @ Wiltern ($30) – Ween’s a lot of fun to see live. I saw them at Stubb’s once and they there was some nudity and oral sex involved (on stage that is).

Madlib / Percee P / Peanut Butter Wolf / J-Rocc @ El Rey ($20) – A Stones Throw extravaganza.

Witchcraft / Saviours / Danava @ the Echo ($12) – Swedish Sabbath disciples.

Of Montreal / Grand Buffet / MGMT @ Avalon ($20) – Eccentric indie rockers. Night one of two.

Valient Thorr / Year Long Disaster @ Spaceland ($8) – This one’s maybe a little bit of sleazy rock show versus the stoner rock show at the Echo.

Ima Robot / The Airborne Toxic Event @ the Roxy

Maroon 5 / The Hives @ Staples Center ($40-60)

David Allan Coe @ Knitting Factory ($25) – You might be a redneck if you like David Allan Coe. He’s a talented songwriter, but some of those songs on the X-Rated albums are indefensible.

Lloyd Cole @ Largo

The Hectors @ Charlie O’s in Alexandria Hotel

Exitmusic / Solare / Raspberry Cocaine @ Silverlake Lounge ($8)
Download an Exitmusic MP3

Dos / Joe Lally @ Knitting Factory Front Stage ($10)

Culver City Dub Collective @ Bordello ($10) – Ben Harper after party.

Ben Harper @ Orpheum (Sold Out)
